Meet Kiera, Founder of Play it Forward

I have over 10 years' experience within the arts, engaging communities and schools, and everything in between. I have a strong participant-led approach and focus on creating a fun, safe and supportive environment.

Delivering sessions that can be accessed by all individuals, in a way that allows them to flourish, is a core tenet of my practice. I believe making theatre and the arts accessible is crucial. Creativity doesn't need to be perfect, but it should always be inclusive.

I hold an enhanced DBS check and a PVG certificate, so I can work with pupils in England, Wales and Scotland.

What schools say

‘I was really pleased with the enormous creativity of the pupils and their enthusiasm despite the 35+°C temperatures. As ever, you were wonderfully positive and kept them all really engaged and involved. It was lovely to see even the quieter pupils volunteering to speak lines. I saw some lovely examples of teamwork and pupils taking turns and supporting one another. I thought this year’s finished play was a particularly good one. Thanks to your skill, I don’t think any of the pupils felt we had omitted their ideas or they hadn’t had a chance to contribute. I think they had a lot of fun too!’

Play it Forward: Widening access to the arts

As part of our ethos, Play it Forward is committed to widening access to creative learning. For every five paid workshops delivered, a session is donated to a school where pupils have little to no access to drama and the arts. This is determined using a range of factors, including IMD and the proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals.

If there is a school you would like us to consider for a free workshop, please feel free to get in touch outlining your reasons.
